This 6-week self-paced intermediate course with three Q&A sessions builds on the Beginners course and the focus, in this course, turns to shaping a player’s sound and building their playing confidence. In addition, the course starts to look at a wider range of rhythms of tunes and examines various ways to play these tunes with decorations. This course suits both students who have completed the Beginners course as well as established players. ** The Intermediate course, also a 6 week course, has been designed to follow on from the Beginners course, and teaches more advanced techniques to provide their playing with a richer sound.  Like the Beginners course, students learn 4 ‘shape your sound’ decoration techniques and apply these techniques to 12 tunes, which are a mix of slow to fast paced.  The tunes have been specifically chosen to help develop the 4 ‘shape your sound’ decoration techniques and provide students with a ready repertoire for joining in a Celtic music session. Every second week, in addition to the video classes, is a ‘live’ Q&A session focused on that two week period.  Students can ask questions and receive feedback on their playing technique if time permits. In the last two weeks of the course, there is a review of the 4 ‘shape your sound’ decoration techniques covered in the course plus the final ‘live’ Q&A session in week 6. The ‘live’ Q&A sessions also provide a chance for everyone to play together as if they were in a ‘live’ Celtic music session.
