Scotland's Towne Square
the Shire of caer dun
We are so excited to announce that the Shire of Caer Dun from The Society of Creative Anachronisms' Kingdom of Gleann Abhann is heading up our Scottish Towne Square.
They will be leading the charge in our war between England and Scotland while protecting Robert the Bruce in their War Camp.
Come visit them in our Towne Square to enjoy their live demos - from weaving and woodworking to their various Fighting Demos. We will also have Deep South Archery Tag nearby there so bring the children over to learn a bit about Scotland's day to day way of life while also giving them a chance to Ask The Bruce any questions they may have.
We are bringing in some of the best Scottish Bakers and Food Trucks from throughout the Country in order to satisfy that craving for Selkirk Bannock and Scots Eggs.
We will have Tents set up to learn about and research your name and history.
As well don't miss our Headlining Band Haggis Rampant as they play throughout the weekend.
Headlining Dance Troupe:
Maccrossan School of Irish Dance is a traditional Irish dance school on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Mobile, Alabama.
A Gulf Coast Favorite, Julie Ann Black and her Students are invading England to bring a sense of celtic fun and life to England while showcasing the cultural differences between our Celtic Heritage and the Period English Dances we will see from our Towne Hosts. Their performances are always a true pleasure to watch.
